The Webster Technique
Silverdale, Washington
Our Silverdale, Washington Chiropractor, Sabrina Paquette has taken additional training in prenatal care and is certified in the Webster Technique. She is trained in this specialized procedure and can provide expecting mothers with gentle individualized care.
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.
Many pregnant mothers recognize how proper motion and alignment of the spine/pelvis during pregnancy allows for optimal fetal positioning and neural development of the baby. The uterus is directly connected to the pelvis via ligaments, so our job is to find and release contractions that maybe causing torsion within the uterus.
When you consider the physical space inside the uterus and how torsion might lessen the space required for the baby to engage into the birthing position, it becomes clear how the Webster Technique can be very effective in aiding in the greatest chance for a normal, natural birth.
Here at West Sound Chiropractic, our Silverdale Washington Prenatal chiropractor understands the very rapid changes that take place during pregnancy including: increased weight gain, change in posture and hormones (which relax stabilizing ligaments). We understand that these changes are vital for growth and arrival of baby, but they can also create secondary conditions including: aches and pains in the low back, sciatica, pubic bone, tailbone, digestive disorders such as; reflux, heartburn, constipation and overall fatigue which can lead to lack of sleep, emotional swings and even disruptions of normal birth.
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms or are interested in more information about the Webster Technique and how our Silverdale Prenatal Chiropractor can help you, please give us a call for a consultation today!
